Le sentier du castor

 Au cœur de la réserve naturelle, le sentier du castor vous propose la découverte d'une rivière Drôme authentique et vivante.

En traversant les milieux fluviaux variés, ouverts ou boisés, du pus sec au plus humide, vous allez pas à pas comprendre l'originalité, la richesse et la fragilité de ces espaces issus du mariage entre la terre et l'eau.

Durée :

Courte balade en boucle : une à deux heures de marche tranquille en fonction de vos découvertes

Balisage :

L'itinéraire balisé en jaune sur la terrain est jalonné de bornes numérotées servant de points de repères pour la lecture du topoguide.

Départ :

L'itinéraire débute à 500 mètres du parking, sur la berge sud du plan d'eau (Lac communal d'Eurre)

Note saisonnière :

Le début du printemps est idéal pour assister à l'explosion de la végétation, tandis que reviennent aigrettes et milans. Les oiseaux sont nombreux durant toute la belle saison et les insectes abondent sur les rives de la Drôme. En hiver, les paysages dénudés des Ramières peuvent paraître austères à certains, ou fascinants de sauvagerie à d'autres. En fin de journée, la spendide lumière hivernale comblera les photographes.

Attention ! La Drôme ne se laisse guère côtoyer en période de crues (fréquentes au printemps et en automne). Certains tronçons d'itinéraires peuvent être momentanément inondés. En cas de doute, se renseigner à la Gare des Ramières.

La réserve naturelle nationale est un espace de nature protégée dont la fréquentation est réglementée. Il est indispensable de conserver la tranquillité des lieux pour la faune sauvage et de préserver les milieux naturels traversés.

Chasse et pêche :

La chasse et la pêche s'exercent librement dans la réserve naturelle conformément à la réglementation en vigueur, sous la responsabilité des Associations Communales de Chasse Agréées (ACCA), des sociétés de pâche et de la Direction Départementale de l'Agriculture et de la Forêt (DDAF).
Lorsqu'une battue est en cours, des panneaux d'information sont mis en place sur le terrain.

The beaver's path.

Right in the middle of the natural reserve, the beaver path allows you to discover a vibrant and authentic river Drome.

Crossing various fluvial surroundings, woods or glades, from the driest to the wetest, you will be able to appreciate, step by step, how original, rich and delicate these spaces are, which stem from the blending of earth and water.

Duration:

Short circular stroll: one or two hours easy walking, in accordance with your explorations.

Markings:

The itinerary, signed in yellow on the ground, is laid out with numbered boundary marks, serving as landmarks for reading the topoguide.

Starting Point:

The itinerary begins 500 metres from the parking, on the south bank of the stretch of water. (Lac communal d'Eurre)

Discovery paths

seasonal note:

Early spring is perfect moment to witness the burst of new vegetation, as well as the recently returned egrets and kites. Birds abound during the whole of the summer months, and by the banks of Drome, insects have a field-day. In winter, the bare countrysides of Ramières may seem austere to some, or wild and fascinating to others. At the end of the day, photographers will be fulfiled by the splendid wintry light.

Caution! The river Drome doesn't respect her borders in times flooding (frequent in autumn and spring). Certain sections of itinerary can be temporarily flooded. If in doubt, make inquiries to the Gare des Ramières.  

Rules of the natural reserve :

The Ramières reserve is a protected space for nature, where visits are regulated. It is indispensable to maintain the tranquillity of the area for the wild fauna, and to preserve the varied natural environments.

Hunting and fishing:

Hunting and fishing are freely practised in the natural reserve, according to the enforced regulation, under the responsibility of the Communal Associations of Chartered Hunting (ACCA), the fishing societies, and of the Departmental Management of Agriculture and Forest (DDAF). When hunting is in progress, notice boards are placed on site.

The natural reserve is neither is an attractions park, nor a zoo. The observing of nature there requires a bit of discretion, patience and perseverance. If possible use binoculars to better observe the fauna.
